Common points of confusion
- Marriage and permanent residence
- Being married does not by itself decide the route. We look at the family relationship, your current visa status and the common review areas together.
- Provision and code
- The same legal provision contains several family relationship routes. We do not treat the whole provision as one code.
- Marriage migrant and permanent residence
- Marriage migrant (F-6) is a visa status, and permanent residence (F-5) is a separate status. We look at the two steps separately.
