Common points of confusion
- Points and approval
- Meeting the points requirement does not settle approval. Whether you belong to a target group and the individual review are considered together.
- Target groups
- The notice divides applicants into target groups. The first step is to settle which group applies to you.
- Residence and permanent residence
- Residence (F-2) is a visa status, and Permanent residence (F-5) is a separate status. We look at the two stages separately.
Before the consultation
In your first enquiry, tell us where you work or study, your education and your Korean language history. We first decide which target group applies.
What to tell us first
- Current organisation and job
- Education and field of study
- Annual income level
- Korean language ability or completed social integration programme
Documents we ask for later
- Employment and income documents
- Degree documents
- Korean language and social integration records
- Copies of your passport and ID
We ask only for the sensitive documents the review needs, and keep and delete them under our privacy policy.
